Cure 1 : Honey

Honey is something that is loved by all. Adding honey to the diet or using it as an application, both have positive effects on the body.

How to use it?

  • Take honey in one’s palm
  • Rub it across and then apply it to the affected areas
  • Dip a cloth in warm water and clean it after moisturizing a bit
  • Pat the skin fry

5 Natural Remedies to help treat child’s Eczema 

CURE 2: Essential Oils

Turmeric oil

Turmeric is indeed an important medicinal herb and does wonders for treating eczema in babies.

How to use it?
  • Take one drop of turmeric essential oil
  • Dilute it with one tablespoon of carrier oil like olive oil
  • Apply it on your baby’s skin and massage gently
  • Wipe it off with a warm and clean cotton cloth
  • Repeat as required

CURE 3 : Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is popular for its numerous benefits and is effective for treating eczema on the baby’s face and other body parts. It is, in fact, one of the safest essential oils for babies.

How to use it?

  • Take a small amount of extra virgin coconut oil
  • Apply it directly to the affected region
  • Massage gently so that the oil gets absorbed in the skin

The antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, as well as antioxidant properties of coconut oil, make it quite useful for treating eczema in babies. The presence of lauric acid and Vitamin E and K help in reducing skin inflammation as well as promoting its healing.

Precautions :

A patch test needs to be done as the baby’s skin is susceptible to flare-ups. Pure and organic coconut oil needs to be preferred.

Cure 4 : Apple Cider Vinegar

This is good option to treat eczema on the baby neck and other regions. The acidic nature of the vinegar maintains the pH level of the skin and thus keeps it moisturized and well-nourished.  Parents must not neglect viral rash in children.

How to use it?

  • Fill the bath-tub with hot water of the tolerable temperature
  • Add about one to two cups of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Soak the baby in the tub for fifteen to twenty minutes
  • Do not make it more than thirty minutes
  • After that rinse the body of your baby with water at standard temperature
  • Pat the skin dry using a soft towel
  • Moisturize the surface with a lotion or cream     

Cure 5: Sunflower Oil

Eczema on baby head or scalp is indeed a common health issue. Try using sunflower oil to treat it. Sunflower oil has moisturizing properties that help treat eczema. It forms a protective layer on the baby. 

How to use it?

  • Take a generous amount of sunflower oil
  • Massage it on the baby’s scalp
  • One can even massage the oil on the entire body of one’s baby to prevent the development of eczema.
  • Doing this daily will keep the skin moisturized as well as healthy
